Thanks for your query. The figures came from research across trusted sources on the internet, starting with http://pinterest.com/gumpelmaier/infographics-crowdfunding/. Also, we sourced some of the information from http://www.crowdsourcing.org. These are two good starting points, but there is a ton of reading that was done to find (and verify) the numbers
